The cashier that was ringing up my toothpastes today was talking to me about how awesome it was that they stopped selling cigarettes! They had covered up the cabinets they kept those in, and replaced us with signs that said "Let us help you quit." Next to the signs were Nicorette products, as well as, store brand/generic products.
I told the cashier that I was actually surprised CVS followed through with their promise to stop selling cigarettes because that was made huge income for them. He announced to me:
"Yeah, pretty soon we're going to stop selling alcohol too. It's just a matter of time."
